More qualified leads from advertising locally
I live in a condominium near downtown Indianapolis. As I moved into my place about a year and a half ago, I found that I quickly came to respect and get to know my neighbors within the condominium complex. We immediately have something in common—a common bond that makes us similar. We live next to each other, and are all now partaking in the American dream of home ownership, and, of course, a mortgage payment.
What I'm getting at is that your neighbors are generally people who you can turn to for a favor. For those starting a small business, it can be hard to get the word out, and you're always looking for new customers. Advertising is expensive, though. Getting a logo, buying space in the newspaper, renting billboards, printing direct mail pieces, developing a useful website--the list goes on. That being said, in a time like this it's very important to find effective and efficient ways to spread the word about your business.
Research shows that local advertising (church newsletters, neighborhood newsletters, etc.) are a great way to reach out to Mr. Prospect. He knows you--you are a member of the same community which gives you credibility. Similarly, all Neighborino sites offer highly targeted advertising within a neighborhood. This is a great way to reach your neighbors in a very non-invasive manner. Let them know what services or goods you have to offer, and that you may even be right next door. Your neighbor will be happy they found a trusted resource and feel good that they're supporting a business within their own neighborhood. Likewise, you, the advertiser, will gain a new customer and take pride in helping a fellow neighbor. Win-win.
